Top up your experience and make your work in Dynamics NAV easier with these shortcuts. This post is about keyboard shortcuts for filter & searching data in Dynamics NAV.
The Filter (formerly known as quick filter method) is an extremely useful for searching and filtering data. Here are various filter methods which you can use:

Meaning	Sample Expression	Records Displayed
An indefinite number of unknown characters	Co	Text that contain “Co”
	*Co	Text that end with “Co”
	Co*	Text that begin with “Co” (classic client)
And	>2000&<1000	Numbers that are less than 2000 and greater than 1000. The & sign cannot be used by itself with numbers because no record can have two numbers.
Case insensitive	@man*	Displays results that start with man and are case insensitive
Date specific expressions	07	In a date field, this will display the day in the current month and year, i.e. 03/07/17
	0307	In a date field, this will display the month and day in the current year, i.e. 03/07/17
	P8	In a date field, this will display the first through last day of a period E.g. 08/01/15..08/31/15
Either/Or	1100\|2100	Those with the numbers 1100 or 2100
Exact character match	‘man’	Text that matches ‘man’ exactly and is case sensitive.
Interval	1100..2100	Numbers 1100 through 2100
	..2500	Up to and including 2500
	..033117	Dates up to and including 03/31/17
	P8..	Information for accounting period 8 and thereafter
Less than	<1200	Numbers less than 1200
Less than or equal to	<=1200	Numbers less than or equal to 1200
Not equal to	<>0	All numbers except 0
Greater than	>1200	Numbers greater than 1200
Greater than or equal to	>=1200	Numbers greater than or equal to 1200
One unknown character	Hans?n	Text such as Hansen or Hanson
Example ExpressionCombinations	5999\|8100..8490	Include any records with the number 5999 or a numberfrom the interval 8100 through 8490.
Example ExpressionCombinations	..1299\|1400..	Include records with a number less than or equal to 1299 or a number equal to 1400 or greater (all numbers except 1300 through 1399).

Ctrl+Alt+F1	Open the About this Page/Report window (shortcut is commonly used by other programs e.g. Intel graphics. You may have to disable these first.)
Ctrl+Delete	Delete the selected line
Ctrl+Home	Move to the first line in a list
Ctrl+End	Move to the last line in a list
Ctrl+Enter	Save and close window (equivalent to choosing the OK button)
Ctrl+Insert	Insert new line
Ctrl+Shift+F3	Select Limit totals to (e.g. chart of accounts)
Ctrl+Shift+A	Clear all filters (e.g. when opening report)
