Position Title: SharePoint – Technical Consultant

Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled SharePoint Consultant to design, implement, and optimize SharePoint solutions that enhance collaboration, document management, and business process automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and a strong understanding of business requirements and user experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. SharePoint Solution Design & Development

  • Design and implement SharePoint Online sites, libraries, lists, and workflows.
  • Configure site structures, permissions, information architecture, metadata, content types, and governance.
  • Develop custom components using ReactJS, Power Apps, Power Automate, SPFx, and other M365 tools.

2. Requirements Gathering & Consulting

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional SharePoint solutions.
  • Provide recommendations and best practices for collaboration, workflow automation, and document management.

3. SharePoint Migration & Modernization

  • Plan and execute migrations from older SharePoint versions or file shares to SharePoint Online.
  • Modernize classic pages, workflows, and existing legacy solutions.

4. Support, Maintenance & Training

  • Troubleshoot SharePoint issues and ensure end-to-end support for users.
  • Conduct user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
  • Maintain governance, compliance, and security standards.

5. Integration & Cross-Platform Collaboration

  • Integrate SharePoint with Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, and other Microsoft 365 apps.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to align SharePoint architecture with org-wide systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 4–8 years of hands-on SharePoint experience.
  • Strong expertise in:
    SharePoint Online
    Hands-on experience on SharePoint Co-pilot and custom co-pilot for SharePoint
    ReactJS, Power Apps, Power Automate
    Microsoft 365 admin center
    SPFx, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience with SharePoint migrations (SharePoint 2010/2013/2016 to Online).
  • Strong understanding of information architecture, security & governance.
  • Excellent communication, requirement gathering, and client-facing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-600, MS-700, PL-900, SC-300).
  • Experience with Teams governance, Power BI integration, or Azure AD.
  • Knowledge of Document and Records Management best practices.
