Features of Advance Warehouse management:
Inventory and tracking movement with barcode scanning help optimization to make sure that entry time can reduce material movement. However, it is suitable where automation is required through which human intervention may reduce.
Pick and pack are related to the dispatch process in which inventory is out of premises either for selling to a customer or transferring it to other premises. In advanced warehouse management, one can generate work orders for picking and packing. Each work order can assign to a warehouse worker who will complete the specific tasks.
Shipping is more specific to the customer side, in WMS one can prepare a shipment doing a combination of multiple sales orders. Shipment documents like packing slip, bill of lading, ASN, etc. can be used as per business standards. One can generate shipment against sales orders and transfer orders.
Label generation at the time of various inventory transactions like purchase receiving, production output booking, sales dispatch, etc
Receiving is applicable to purchase and in-house production processes, storing location at the default location and transferring it to a storage location. In WMS one can set storage location or fixed location product-wise, material category wise, variants wise.
